Calvin Charles Gallery
I first designed this identity and website for the Calvin Charles Gallery way back in 2003. Both stood the test of time well, however the first site was all static HTML and Flash, and became increasingly difficult to maintain and update. A new design was needed; one that could accommodate a lot more event and exhibition sections, and one that could be easily managed by the client. The answer was a clean, fresh design, that allows for greater expansion and flexibility, incorporates RSS and Twitter updates, and is search engine friendly. The core Artists section is still run from within Masterpiece (a software-based art gallery management and inventory system) while the rest of the site is now managed from within ExpressionEngine.
