The Future of Shade is a global design competition from Sunbrella, makers of outdoor fabrics for blinds, shades and many other products.
The 2014 Future of Shade Grand Prize winner was Tony Leung, a Hong Kong architect, who came up with “Xafari”, an ingenious easy-to-erect shade and water collection system that could be used in emergency or distress situations, such as temporary shelter for refugees or those suffering in a disaster situation.
Nick shot the interview and b-roll footage of Tony in Hong Kong, which was then edited by Wrayward, Sunbrella’s creative agency in North Carolina.
